Hurricane Beryl made landfall on the island of Carriacou on July 1, 2024 as a powerful Category 4 hurricane, making its way through the island nations of Antigua, Grenada, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Homes, businesses, and infrastructure throughout the region have been destroyed, fatalities have been reported, and those impacted are facing displacement and devastation. The hurricane has since been upgraded to a Category 5 storm and is projected to hit Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and the Yucatán Peninsula later this week. The selected nonprofits are responding to impacted areas to provide support and resources to those affected.
