A powerful and devastating 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit western Afghanistan on October 7, 2023, primarily impacting the city of Herat, with thousands of reported deaths and thousands more injured. Villages, infrastructure, and homes have been destroyed, and relief efforts are currently underway. The following organizations are providing critical aid to those impacted in the form of food, water, shelter, supplies, and medical care, among other resources.
